Red, orange, brown and yellow

Posted by: brb In: Japan ()

Some days, posting photos is easier than writing. I snapped this carpet of leaves while taking a stroll at a small park near our house. Not quite as brilliant as the previous Japan autumn scene collection photos nor as interesting as Jason’s Shinjuku Gyoen photo gallery but still a colorful reminder that now is the time to go outdoors, bask in the sun and observe the changing season.

Looks like your local park has a nice carpet of fallen leaves on it. Posting a photo can be easier, as they say, a photo is worth a thousand words. Or is that a painting?

Posting photos is easier, except you really have to go out and shoot some stuff before you can have something to post with! :)

tried the “alternative” - Infrared photography in the same park before - it is best to get the IR shots during fall/autumn not because of the colors but due to the better IR “reflection” of red-orange leaves than the greens of spring

Infrared photography, that’s something I have yet to try out seriously. I’ve seen really good IR photos yet I can’t seem to shoot a decent one.

your Nikon and the 55/1.2 would be very good for this - just buy an IR filter (720nm or 960nm) to fit the lens and a tripod. You take really good images, I know - they always tell stories. How’s the women’s portraits coming hehehe…

I almost forgot I have that lens! I might have to take it out and take some night shots. Or portraits. :)
