The Big Buddha of Ushiku gets a hair massage

Posted by: brb In: Crazy Stuff ()

What is it like to scrub the head of the Ushiku Daibutsu, one of the tallest statues in the world? One crazy guy finds out.

It’s one thing to look up at this 120-meter giant statue and quite another to stand on its head, with a cleaning rag on one hand. With only a rope preventing him from certain death, a Japanese TV show comedian attempts to clean the Big Buddha’s 480 clumps of hair, 5 of which he accomplished. That’s quite a feat if you ask me, considering the circumstances. Scary stuff.
