Tokyo Auto Salon 2009: Anime Car

Posted by: brb In: Manga & Anime| Tokyo Auto Salon 2009| cars ()

The new year kicks off with an exhibition of custom cars at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2009 in Makuhari Messe. I went and took some pictures. Here’s one of my favorites: the customized μ-Dimension Acoustic Research anime-painted car.

How do they do that? I want to learn how to do that. Is it just some comp thing like AutoCAD, and they do a comp job on it. Or is it low-tech. How do they do this?

This car is total overkill for anime, I guess you either don’t like anime or you’re obsessed with it, there is no imbetween person. If you drove this car in America, people would flick you off on the highway for having an obscene car when it isn’t! Also how in the heck did they get the designs on there, vinyl under the overcoat/protective paint maybe?
