Tokyo Auto Salon 2009: Toyota iQ

Posted by: brb In: Tokyo Auto Salon 2009| cars ()

One of the most ubiquitous cars in Japan is Honda’s Fit, which just recently had a makeover. Many people like it for its good looks, fuel efficiency and compact size which is only a little bit bigger than the smallest cars in the country but still very easy to maneuver through many of Japan’s narrowest roads.

It may be up for some serious competition.

Toyota’s iQ, Japan’s 2008 Car of the Year, (the title that the Honda Fit won twice), was prominently displayed in Toyota’s booth at the recent Tokyo Auto Salon with many different colors and variations. It’s a car that should appeal to most people who like the Honda Fit (or the Smart). It is stylish, very fuel efficient and surprisingly small for a car that seats four people.

It was one of the most popular cars with visitors at Toyota’s booth and indeed at the whole show. Gazoo Racing’s version wasn’t bad either.
