Bandai releases Gachapin & Mukku netbook

Posted by: brb In: Gadgets| Manga & Anime| Places| Tech ()

Bandai Networks has announced the availability of their green-colored Gachapin-and-Mukku-themed netbook powered by Windows XP. Gachapin and Mukku are two popular Japanese anime characters: Gachapin is a 5-year-old dinosaur boy and his friend Mukku is a red yeti.

This decidedly unique netbook is anime-themed all over, from its custom system sounds (”oyaho”, “jaa ne” and “tadaima” are only a few of its dozens of custom sounds) to its wallpaper, screensaver, desktop gadgets and protective case. Only for the hardcore otaku or anime (specifically Gachapin and Mukku) fan.

Initial production is limited to 300 units that will be available for 79,800 yen (about $860) each. Orders will be processed from February 6, 2009 to March 20, 2009 and delivery will be made at the end of March.
