Concept images of green Tokyo

Posted by: brb In: Art| Japan ()

The Green Island Project: “What if the roads are covered with grass? What would people think of it? This project started with those ideas.”

And so we have these highly improbable yet visually arresting images of Tokyo covered with grass, from Shinjuku to Gotanda to Yoyogi. Yes, we can only imagine.

Gotanda, Tokyo

Shinagawa, Tokyo

Shinjuku, Tokyo

Yoyogi, Tokyo

I’m fine with the Tokyo Shinjuku images of being green - as long as my favorite camera shops near the station will remain there!

Not to worry, they’re not going away! They’ll just have to get more eco-friendly to continue to open shop. ^_^;;

Wait, wouldn’t the roads just be torn up, and turn into dirt roads comparable to those of the past? Sounds like a rough ride.

Beats being green - but at least it will last longer than the natural ones. But kidding aside, I think the concept of being eco-friendly has become more literal…
