A ride through Tokyo’s Bayshore Route

Posted by: brb In: Japan| photography ()

It’s a perfect day, you have a Toyota ist and a Canon 5D Mark II, what do you do? Drive to Akihabara and take pictures of maid girls, right? Well, that’s a possibility. But some guys just mount their 5D on their dashboards in video mode and cruise through Tokyo’s expressways.

And you have a video just like the one below. If you have a high-speed internet connection, you should really see the HD version. You’ll enjoy the ride better.

The roads look so clean and new. I’m used to roads on the USA East Cost shoreline that are old, full of pot-holes and full of traffic.

Yup, the roads are so clean and smooth! I am of course assuming that his 5D did not have the Image-Stabilized lenses. I did remember when we took the highway from Kanazawa, Ishikawa to Tokyo’s then to Makuhari Messe in Chiba that there were very few private cars. Mostly are trucks and company wagons - just like the one shown in the video.
