7 iconic photographs of Japan

Posted by: brb In: Japan ()

Chris Willson is a British-born writer, photographer and lecturer based in Okinawa, Japan whose work have been featured in various publications, advertising and documentaries.

His website, Travel67, contains samples of his previous work and an online gallery of photos from his travels around the country. Poster sized limited edition prints of his photos, shot with medium-format Pentax 67II cameras and Fuji’s finest grained films, can be ordered from the online store.

Below are seven of my favorite images from the Limited Edition series, photographed from seven different places in Japan.

Mount Fuji and Temple at Dusk

Geisha Apprentice in Kyoto

Itsukusima Shrine’s Torii at Dusk

Kamakura Daibutsu and Cherry Blossoms

Tokyo Tower

Nihonzaru (Japanese Macaque) Bathing in Nagano

Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge in the Mist

Wow, great pics. An A2-sized poster of Tokyo Tower looks good on my living room wall.
