Perhaps a little out of place among the multitude of customized racing cars at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2009 is Mazda’s Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid. This is the latest iteration of the dual-fuel rotary-engined Premacy announced by Mazda over a year ago. This version of the Premacy promises better fuel efficiency, greater range and more [...]

One of the most striking cars in the Tokyo Auto Salon 2009 was J’s Racing’s extremely modified Honda “Satan” S2000. I didn’t see a lot of S2000 cars at the show but this thing is just sick. The characters on the hood say “Satan” below the image of the Evil One himself. I guess when you’re racing [...]

Diahatsu, the small-car specialist, has put out a nice concept car at Tokyo Auto Salon 2009 based on their Move Conte X Limited compact car. Here’s a cool mod car, the Masquerade Prodrive Impreza for street and circuit use.

The new year kicks off with an exhibition of custom cars at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2009 in Makuhari Messe. I went and took some pictures. Here’s one of my favorites: the customized μ-Dimension Acoustic Research anime-painted car.

This early release of the [...]
