Fujitsu announced today that it has succeeded in achieving super-fast transfer rates of more than 10 gigabits per second using an impulse connection system on a 70-100 GHz band. The technology might pave way for ultra-high-speed wireless LAN in the future.

Gundam is alive! Or, at least, he’s already standing unsupported. {Photo by Mainichi}
As reported earlier, this giant 35-ton, 18-meter badass Gundam is set to be unveiled in Odaiba, Tokyo on July 11 in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Gundam Moblie Suit robot franchise. It will be open to the public (for free) until [...]

Mount Fuji, easily visible from Tokyo, is the highest mountain of Japan and one of the most recognizable mountains in the world.
Especially in winter, when its graceful cone is topped with a snow-covered peak, it is easy to see why Mount Fuji is one of the most loved symbols of Japan.

Flickr user and blogger gomhi shows off his self-made eggshell speakers:

Toshiro at HDRi Life has been walking the streets of Tokyo, photographing the people and structures of its urban scenery in HDR.
Shot with ultra-wide-angle and fisheye lenses, his photos present a disconcerting landscape of surreal colors and impossibly bent structures that make Japan’s megalopolis look more cold and inhospitable than it really is.
A lot more [...]

The camera won’t fit in your pocket nor would it shoot anything faster than a sloth without blurring but for those pixel-loving camera enthusiasts out there, building your own a super-megapixel camera is relatively cheaper than splurging on a brand-new Sony A-900.

If apocalyptic future will come through nuclear weapons, then only Japan (brought to its knees with two atomic bombs in the closing stages of World War II) has a first-hand experience of what it will look like.
Here Tokyo Genso (Tokyo Fantasy) gives us his images of Japan in a catastrophic future, with buildings in ruins [...]
