The camera won’t fit in your pocket nor would it shoot anything faster than a sloth without blurring but for those pixel-loving camera enthusiasts out there, building your own a super-megapixel camera is relatively cheaper than splurging on a brand-new Sony A-900.

Although not strictly robots, Nabaztag and Chumby are two of the most popular “smart objects”, so called because of their ability to connect to the Internet and interact with various Internet applications (to read news headlines, weather forecasts or email for example).
Nabaztag is a bunny-shaped (”nabaztag” is Armenian for “rabbit” I read) Wi-Fi enabled France-born [...]

Here are some more photos from the recently popular CEATEC Japan.

CEATEC 2008: A cute little robot, Pleo

Posted by: brb In: CEATEC 2008| Tech

I almost didn’t get to see her. Such was the popularity of Seikochan that I had to wait until the last performance just [...]

I didn’t expect Sony to have a space for their digital cameras in CEATEC so I was quite surprised to see a sizable booth for their Cybershots and Alpha cameras, with two new lenses.

Off to CEATEC in Makuhari Messe

Posted by: brb In: CEATEC 2008| Tech

CEATEC Japan, one of the premier exhibitions of cutting-edge technologies and gadgets, will start in a few hours. I think I’ll go and take a look. Try out some cool stuff, take lots of pictures and say hello to Seikochan, the new unicycle-riding robot from Murata. This should be fun.
